Starting a Website

So, I have an idea for starting a website. It will be called, ilostmypantsandshoes.com. This website will be dedicated to all the random pants and lonesome shoes that are left on the street and highways because I do not understand how someone can lose their pants or shoes and not realize they are laying out in the middle of the road. That means there are people wondering around without pants or with one shoe. Really?! I don't understand how that happens. It is truly a phenomenon and I hope my website will be able to return the lost pants and shoes to their rightful owners.

Portfolio Website

Great article, it has some really good tips on what you should include in your portfolio website to make it effective. You need to remember the reason of your personal website and its purpose and what you hope to gain from having it. A personal portfolio site is about promoting yourself and you need to highlight what it is you and how you can provide your services to future client. Make sure to make it easy to get in contact with you, you don't want a possible client not be able to get a hold of you to hire you!

Lightbox

There are many ways to display images on your site, but what if you want something different? Lightbox has got to be one of the most popular ways of displaying images on a web-site available at the moment. Not only does it provide a slick way of showing off your photographs or illustrations but it looks really cool too. Here's a good site that walks through how to able this cool effect to your site

Content Based on Broswer

All of the articles I have been reading about creating good web design, always make a point of designing for all browsers, but this article that I read talks about how you have to design for a web browser and a mobile device differently. Someone who is browsing the web is more than likely surfing the web, but someone who is browsing on a mobile device, is looking for specific information and they want it fast and efficiently. Because of this, when you design for a mobile device, you have to make your site easy to navigate, to the point, and easily uploaded (if your site is too complex, the user we stray from viewing your site).
